Ademola Lookman has declared that he will be the happiest person in the world if he wins the 2024 CAF Player of the Year award.
Let us remember that the Atalanta star is one of the 10 nominees for this year’s award.
The 27-year-old was widely tipped to claim the honor following an impressive year for club and country.
Lookman said the key is to continue his development as a player.
“I don’t think I’m feeling any additional pressure. I think I’ve kept the same mentality; I have maintained the same work ethic. “I’m just trying to do the best I can, do the best I can on the field.” the Nigerian international told 54footballx.
“I think I try to get better every day, and you know, if I can win the award, it would definitely be special for me, my family, my people, my country, but for you, that’s the future. The future will come. “Now I need to focus on doing my best.”
