The actor was born in Bolari area in Gombe town of Gombe state in the northeast of Nigeria.
He studied primary in Gombe, before he later finished high school in Kano and got his NCE certificate. He also studied journalism at Bayero University in Kano.
He told the BBC that he almost made the movie because Hussaina Ibrahim better known as Tsigai is his sister and because of her he moved to Kano city to live.
He first appeared in a movie called Ignorance is more Mad than Ibro.
