Victor Osimhen wanted to go to England: Galatasaray legend and Prekazi blame Napoli

Prekazi, who blamed Napoli for Osimhen’s failed move to the Premier League, expressed surprise at the striker’s decision to sign for the Turkish giants.

Galatasaray legend Dževad Prekazi has insisted that Victor Osimhen wanted to go to England during the final summer transfer window.

Prekazi, who blamed Napoli for Osimhen’s failed move to the Premier League, expressed surprise at the striker’s decision to sign for the Turkish giants.

Osimhen had set his sights on moving to the Premier League or returning to the French Ligue 1 after deciding to leave Napoli.

However, Napoli gave him a high rating, which made it difficult for teams like Chelsea or Paris Saint-Germain to sign him.

“I couldn’t believe Osimhen, I couldn’t believe he would come to Galatasaray and that’s how it was.” Prekazi told TRT Spor via Cumhuriyet.

“I wanted to go to England, the problem was in Naples because the transfer was a lot of money.”

He added, “I don’t know how he came to Galatasaray. He’s great, he will make a great contribution, it’s obvious. No one can hold him back.”
