How Does JAMB CAPS Work

With JAMB CAPS, one could log into his profile, check admission status, and accept or reject admission offers. Here’s how you can use it.

1. Visit the JAMB CAPS portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/Login https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/Login
2. Sign in with your email and password from JAMB.
3. On the dashboard, click Check Admission Status.
4. Click on Access My CAPS to see your status.

Note: The CAPS feature only appears once admission processing begins. If it’s not visible, the process may not have started yet.

JAMB CAPS Status Messages and Their Meanings

Here’s what some of the messages on your CAPS profile may mean, decoded

1. CAPS Welcome
Interpretation: This message simply means that your device may not support full display; if you see only “Welcome,” try using a computer or enabling desktop mode on your browser.

2 CAPS Not Admitted
Interpretation: This message means that you have not been offered admission yet, but it doesn’t rule out the possibility. Continue checking as institutions release admission lists.

3 CAPS Admission in Progress
Interpretation : This is that JAMB is checking your admission details. If you see this, then probably you will gain an admission. Keep checking your status.

4. CAPS You have been offered Admission
Interpretation: Your institution has admitted you pending final confirmation from JAMB. Sometimes your course will be changed if you don’t reach some requirements.

5 CAPS Admission is Approved
Meaning Congratulations You’ve been offered admission The final details may take a while to appear so check back for updates

6 CAPS Accept or Reject Admission
Interpretation of JAMB This is to confirm your admission offer. If not offered, the offer may be withdrawn. You can print out your admission letter upon accepting, while rejection makes way for another candidate.

7. CAPS Congratulations, you have been offered Admission
This is to bring to your notice that the admission process is complete. You can proceed to print out your letter of admission, which will help you to register for school.

Other Requirements

In case you were offered another course different from the one you initially applied for during entry, then you will have to make a change of course on the JAMB portal, and you are to ensure you have the following documents for school registration: Original JAMB result slip
JAMB Admission letter
