Tim Slavens Camaro Drag racer has passed away due to Covid battling a weeks-long battle in his town on Friday.

The well-respected racer Tim Salves Camaro’s family received an outpouring of support from fellow racers and fans around the country and the world.

Slavens, constantly flashing a welcoming smile, made his mark in the radial-tire racing arena over the last half-decade.

Tim Slavens Camaro died due to Covid 19 infection on Friday. He enjoyed the crowning achievement in his racing career in February of 2019. 

In the particular event, he drove his stock-bodied, twin-turbo Camaro to what was then the quickest radial-tire pass in the sport’s history. 

Tim would go toe-to-toe with the sport’s best in the Radial versus The World category.

Earlier, Once Slavens was the manager of a Wal-Mart store in Marshfield, where he was as loved and respected by his employees as his fellow racers on the weekend.

Slavens unique role in the racing community cheekily earned him the nickname “Wal-Mart greeter” by radial-tire promoter Donald Long.

As per the limited information provided by the authorities, Tim Slavens Camaro did not die of an accident but of Covid 19 in his town.

It is unrevealed from when the drag racer was infected from the sickness. 

Following months of work behind the scenes, Tim had only realized his dream of entering the Pro Modified arena in early December.

Sadly, he was stricken by illness and ultimately left the world a lesser place.

‘His son Tyler said that Today was a day he never thought would happen. Today he knows that his dad’s in heaven and at peace and rest from all the pain his body went through.

Even Slavens’ daughter, Hannah, shared It’s hard to know why God puts us in a situation like this. Still, she knows he is at peace, knowing dad is healthy now and enjoying his heavenly life.
