The White House this Tuesday condemned the “irresponsible rhetoric” of Russia on nuclear weapons, after the president Vladimir Putin relaxed the rules for carrying out such attacks, although he said there is no reason to change his own position.

The Russian president, Vladimir Putinsigned a decree this Tuesday that allows the use of nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states if they have the support of atomic powers. According to the document published on the Russian legal information portal, “the launch of ballistic missiles against Russia” is among the conditions that would justify the use of these weapons.
The doctrine, which expands the categories of threats considered for the nuclear deterrence strategy, includes aggression by military coalitions such as the I’LL TAKE.
“The aggression of any State belonging to a military coalition (bloc, alliance) against the Russian Federation and (or) its allies is viewed as an aggression of the coalition as a whole,” points out.
The clauses are considered by analysts as a clear warning to USA and the I’LL TAKEin case they decide to get directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine.
Russia can resort to nuclear weapons also in case of “massive attack” with warplanescruise missiles, hypersonics, drones and other unmanned devices that violate the country’s airspace.
At the same time, the doctrine emphasizes that Russia sees nuclear weapons as “an instrument of deterrence” of a defensive nature, the use of which is an “extreme and forced measure.”

The president of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenskyhe said this Tuesday before the European Parliament (EP) that Ukraine and its Western partners have done a lot together against the Russian invasion, but They should not “be afraid to do even more” facing new challenges such as North Korean troops on the Ukrainian borders.
“While certain European leaders think about (how to win) their elections at the expense of Ukraine, Putin is focused on winning this war. It won’t stop on its own and the more time you have, the worse the conditions will be,” he said before the plenary session of the European Parliament, which today commemorated in an extraordinary session the thousand days since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
