In dialogue with InfobaeVerónica detailed how the connection arose with her chicken, which was bought when she was barely 15 days: “My son wanted a chick and, like any mother who spoils her children, she brought him one,” she said. She assured that she has responded to her name since she was little and that she even has a special relationship with her son: “She sleeps on top of him, they are very close. When he is sick, you don’t let go of him,” commented the author of the video.

Irma, who bears that name in honor to grandmother from Verónica, grew up with her other animals: two rescued dogs, two cats and a sea urchin. The relationship between everyone is surprisingly harmonica, despite species differences. According to her owner, she is a chicken with a unique personality: “She steals the cat’s food and lays an egg every day. She chose the closet as her place to lay her eggs. So every day I leave the little door of my closet open for him to come in and put it in,” he highlighted.

The reactions, full of humor and admiration, did not take long to flood the publication: “When you love your pets very much… they develop intelligence,” wrote one user, while another related enthusiastically: “I do believe you, because I have a chicken called Monita and she also comes when I call her, she runs to me.” The comments weren’t just limited to chickens: “I beat them, I have a turtle that I call and it comes. And he scratches the door so I can give him lettuce!”, and “When I was a boy I had a duck called Lucas, I would scream at him and come running,” said other followers.

The viral phenomenon not only made clear Verónica’s love and bond with her animals, but also opened a debate about the intelligence and ability of pets to form bonds with humans. “They are very noble, intelligent and develop a capacity for love for every being that needs it. I love little chickens. “Irma, you are a sweetheart,” another spectator expressed excitedly.
