At least 10 people died y 30 were injured after a driver rammed his vehicle into a crowd during celebrations New Year in Bourbon Street, New Orleans. The incident occurred around 3:15 AM in it French Quarterone of the busiest areas of the city. According to local authorities, the driver got out of the vehicle after the accident and opened firewhich caused a confrontation with the police.

He mayor of new orleans described the event as an unprecedented act of violence during the festivities, although the FBI has ruled out that it is a terrorist attack.

Initial investigations suggest that the driver acted intentionally, but no evidence has been found that alcohol consumption was a determining factor. Authorities have asked the community to remain alert as the investigation continues.
