The list of the highest paid footballers of the moment has been published by Forbes.
Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi top the list.
Even though Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are in the final days of their careers, they still enjoy magnificent financial benefits thanks to the round-the-clock game.
Both players are widely considered to be the two greatest footballers in the history of the game.
Ronaldo tops the latest Forbes list, earning a whopping $285 million a year.
The 39-year-old earns $220 million a year in salaries from Al-Nassr, while the rest comes from sponsorship.
Messi, on the other hand, is the only MLS player in the top ten list.
The Argentine earns $135 million in total, of which $60 million comes from salaries and $75 million comes from off-the-field sponsorships.
The roster is heavily dominated by players from the Saudi Arabian league.
Others on the list, according to Sportskeeda.com, include Al-Hilal’s Neymar ($110 million), Al-Ittihad’s Karim Benzema ($104 million) and Al-Nassr’s Sadio Mane ($52 million).
The Real Madrid duo, Kylian Mbappé ($90 million) and Vinicius Junior ($55 million) are the only representatives of LaLiga.
The Premier League trio of Erling Haaland ($60 million), Mohamed Salah ($53 million) and Kevin De Bruyne ($39 million) complete the list of the ten highest-paid players in the world.
