Rodri, Manchester City midfielder, has revealed the player capable of winning the Ballon d’Or “very soon”.
He tipped Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
This was stated by Rodri after winning the 2024 award this Monday.
“Lamine Yamal will win the Ballon d’Or very soon, I am convinced of it” said.
“Keep up, keep working hard, you’ll make it.”
Yamal won the Kopa Trophy for best young player at the ceremony.
The Barcelona winger beat Turkish youngster Arda Guler of Real Madrid and Türkiye, while Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo came third.
New Manchester City player Savinho was fourth, while Yamal’s Barcelona teammate Pau Cubarsi was fifth.
