According to the trailer published by Netflix on its official YouTube channel, the protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Player 456), who survived the first edition of the deadly game, returns with the mission to put an end once and for all to this sinister spectacle in which the participants play with their lives.
In one of the scenes of the trailer, published this Tuesday, November 26, when Gi-hun is asked why he returns, the character played by Lee Jung-jae responds: “I’m trying to end this game”. This new installment will incorporate an unprecedented rule in the contest, as explained by Korean director Hwang Dong-hyuk in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. From now on, players must vote at the end of each round (and not just at the beginning) to decide whether the battle continues or stops.
