Governor Abbir Yusuf of Kano State has appointed Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, as the state’s sports ambassador.
The governor stated that his decision to appoint Musa as sports ambassador was due to his professional competence, track record of excellent performance, vast experience, dedication to the development of sports activities and provision of humanitarian services in the State.
The appointment was confirmed through a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi PhD, on Wednesday titled “NOTIFICATION OF APPOINTMENT AS SPORTS AMBASSADOR OF KANO STATE.”
The statement says in full: “It is my honor to formally convey to you that His Excellency Governor Abba K. Yusuf of Kano State has approved your appointment as Sports Ambassador of Kano State with effect from July 24, 2024.
The decision to appoint him to this exalted position of trust was based on his professional competence, track record of excellent performance, vast experience, dedication to the development of sports activities and provision of humanitarian services in the State. We hope you bring these excellent qualities to your new assignment.
It is my fervent prayer that your appointment as the Kano State Sports Ambassador will significantly assist the Government in achieving the objective of promoting sports activities in general, especially as it relates to our local clubs and players.
While I congratulate you on this well-deserved appointment, I sincerely hope that you will live honestly and justify the trust reposed in you by the Government. I pray that God in His infinite mercy grants you the wisdom and determination to execute the task diligently and according to the expectations of the administration.
