The dictatorships of Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Bolivia They have been holding power with impunity for decades, violating human rights and repressing the cry for freedom of their people, because they are supported by governments of democratic countries that support their narratives, give them economic support, cover them up in international organizations and subject them to the foreign policy of their states. It is the flagrant case of the governments of Lula from Brazil, Petro from Colombia and Sheinbaum of Mexico, whose violation of fundamental mandatory norms imposes the application of international sanctions.
“The people of America have the right to democracy and their governments have the obligation to promote and defend it.” establishes article 1 of the Inter-American Democratic Charterand Article 2 provides that “the effective exercise of representative democracy is the basis of the rule of law and the constitutional regimes of the Member States of the Organization of American States.”
The American Convention on Human Rights or Pact of San José collects and develops the foundations of Universal Declaration of Human Rights and it is mandatory. This standard establishes and develops the “right to life“, he “right to personal integrity”, “the prohibition of slavery and servitude” “the right to personal liberty”, “judicial guarantees”, “freedom of thought and expression”, the “right to nationality”, the “right of movement and residence ”, “political rights”, “legal equality” and more.
Article 23 of the American Convention on Human Rights recognizes democracy as a human right by providing: “Political Rights 1.- All citizens must enjoy the following rights and opportunities: a) to participate in the direction of political affairs, directly or through freely chosen representatives; b) to vote and be elected in authentic periodic elections carried out by universal and equal suffrage and by secret ballot that guarantees the free expression of the will of the voters, and; c) have access, under general conditions of equality, to the public functions of their country.”
He Rome Statute Article 7 classifies as “crimes against humanity” “murder, extermination, slavery, deportation or forced transfer of population, imprisonment or other serious deprivation of physical freedom…torture, rape…, persecution of a group or community with own identity founded on political, national reasons…, forced disappearance of people…”
Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are signatories and parties to the Inter-American Democratic Charter, the American Convention on Human Rights and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Courtbut their current presidents and governments fail to comply with all the aforementioned norms and many more international laws of mandatory compliance by supporting and protecting the dictatorships of Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua that violate all these norms. In it International law There is no impunity for accomplices, concealers, apologists, recipients or any other form of criminal participation assumed by presidents Lula, Petro, López Obrador and now Sheinbaum.
Paradictatorial Government It is “the one elected in democracy, who represents a democratic country, but who serves dictatorial regimes to contribute to their sustenance and permanence with actions of legitimation and support, failing to comply with international legal obligations and harming their own national interests.” This is the concept that corresponds today to the governments of Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
The three governments hire personnel in medical and other areas of the Cuban dictatorship under systems designated as slavery and servitude by international organizations and entities, paying the cuban regime for the services of people who do not receive that payment and whose families are a kind of hostages. The three democratic governments lend, buy and provide non-transparent economic aid on behalf of the people that the regime has oppressed for almost 66 years and that sustains the dictatorship.
Regarding the electoral fraud perpetrated by Nicolás Maduro on July 28 and state terrorism Then unleashed to impose his crimes, the governments of Brazil, Colombia and Mexico are supporting and covering up the dictator. Their actions, statements and votes prove it.
Already in May 2023, Lula tried to incorporate the dictator Maduro as a normal head of state by receiving him in Brazil before and during a Summit of Latin American heads of state invited by Lula himself, under protest from the presidents of Chile, Ecuador and others. He promoted a summit of the European Union and Celac to help the dictators of Cuba, Venezuela, Bolivia and Nicaragua. It incorporated Brazilian foreign policy into proximity with Russia, China and Iran along the lines of Cuba and Venezuela and was subordinated along the same lines in the terrorist aggression against Israel.
