On Saturday, January 1, 2022, Frank Liu, Jr. passed away in a car accident. Friends, family, and loved ones are devastated and in mourning following the public announcement of Frank Liu Jr’s death.

He was a hardworking student and a clever thinker who excelled in basketball, music, and mathematics at St. John’s School.

As a sophomore, he ascended to the starting lineup of St. John’s varsity team, where he was a courageous point guard.

On Saturday, January 8, at four o’clock in the afternoon, a memorial service and celebration of Frank’s life will be placed on the Skylawn of The Post, 401 Franklin Street, followed by a reception.

Friends and family are warmly welcomed to gather and share remembrances in Geo’s library and grand foyer. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, on Sunday, January 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

He was also the front guy and lead guitarist for his high school band. He continued his education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, earning a bachelor’s degree in business.

Frank was well regarded for his many talents, coupled with his intellect, inventiveness, and love for Houston to bring about significant change in the city.

Indeed, he worked tirelessly to enhance Houston’s creative community, particularly the music scene, throughout his professional career.

Frank Liu was born to Frank Liu Sr. and his mother, Cindy Liu.

His parents, Frank and Cindy Liu, his brother, Kirby Liu, and his grandmother, Wen Liu, are all survivors with whom he shared a passion for sushi.

On October 17, 1987, Frank was born in the Year of the Rabbit in Houston, Texas.

His work arranging the Day for Night Music Festival paved the way for the establishment of POST Houston, the renovation of the USPS headquarters in downtown Houston into a cultural complex.

His ability to bring together the right creative minds sparked the creation of the 713 Music Hall, where he realized his vision for a world-class music hall in Houston.
