Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga reacted after his teammate Vinicius Jr. lost the 2024 Ballon d’Or to Rodri.

In a post on Monday night, Camavinga lashed out at the award organizers.

Camavinga suggested the organizers played politics in the results that saw Manchester City’s Rodri take home the Ballon d’Or ahead of Vinicius.

The French international also said that Vinicius is the best player in the world and that no award can define the Brazilian’s football value.

Let us remember that the decision to award the award to Rodri has, however, generated a lot of controversy on social networks.

Many believe that Vinicius deserved it more.

However, just hours before Monday’s ceremony began, it was widely rumored that Vinicius would not win, causing Real Madrid to boycott the ceremony.

Reacting after Rodri won the award, Camavinga posted on X along with a photo of himself with Vinicius:

”FOOTBALL POLITICS. My brother, you are the best player in the world and no award can say otherwise. I love you my brother.”
