The international tour of Edmundo González Urrutia had two important stops this Saturday, in two countries allied with the Venezuelan opposition, which seeks to enforce the will of the people in the elections of July 28 and assume the Presidency of Venezuela next January 10.
After his meeting in the morning with the Argentine president Javier Milei and his cabinet in Buenos Aires, the President-elect continued his trip to Uruguay where, in Montevideo, they were waiting for him Luis Lacalle Pou and the chancellor Omar Paganini for a meeting.
After 5:00 p.m. local time, González Urrutia arrived at the residence of Suárez and Reyes. There, he took the opportunity to give President Lacalle Pou a painting with a minutes of the Venezuelan electionsone of the many ballots that the opposition managed to recover and that ratify their victorydespite the fraud of Chavismo that proclaimed winner Nicolas Maduro.

The bilateral meeting then began and, at its end, González Urrutia went out to the nearby streets to greet a crew of their countrymen who, shouting “President” and other cheers, flags and postersthey expected it.

I want to leave you a message esperanzaa message from fein what we are going to achieve the recovery of our Venezuela“, he began by telling the Venezuelan community gathered there, to which he added his gratitude for “this support and your presence here at this time, which increases enthusiasm and makes us live moments of great joy.”
On January 10, González Urrutia once again ratified his decision to return to Venezuela and take office as president.
“The government (of Nicolás Maduro) may close the airspace, may close the highways, may close access to Caracas, but They are not going to prevent the resounding victory that we have already obtained. That victory is respect the will of more than 7 million Venezuelans displaced by the regime, and The culmination of this will be the inauguration next Friday the 10th.″, he assured.
“We are going to achieve the recovery of our Venezuela and the freedom of all political, civil and military prisoners”he promised amid shouts of encouragement and applause.
Finally, before singing the national anthem, he highlighted the active role of Lacalle Pou during these last months, which reflected his strong commitment to the struggle of the Venezuelan people.
“I want to thank my good friend, President Lacalle, for having been solidarity with the Venezuelan causenot from today, but from a long time ago. He has been played with very important statements “that have been key to the political development of the electoral campaign,” he concluded.
From the Uruguayan Foreign Ministry, for its part, they ratified González Urrutia as the legitimate elected president of Venezuela and once again called on the Chavista regime to initiate a peaceful transfer of command process.
