The Kano Pillars Football Club bus has been involved in an accident.
The club confirmed it this Tuesday.
According to the Clug, the bus transporting the players to Plateau State for the inaugural U-19 Youth League matchday five match against Plateau United met with an accident.
Sai Masu Gida revealed this in a series of tweets via his official X account today.
The NPFL club said the driver and several players were injured as a result of the accident.
Recall that this comes just under three days after the Kano Pillars first team drew 1-1 with Kwara United in the NPFL.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce that the Kano Pillars FC U-19 team bus was involved in a road accident today while en route to the New Jos Stadium for the inaugural U-19 Youth League matchday five match against Plateau. United U19,” Kano Pillars tweeted.
“We extend our sincere thoughts and prayers to all those affected and will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
“Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time.
“Several players and the driver sustained injuries in the unfortunate incident and were immediately taken to hospital for medical attention. Fortunately, no deaths have been reported at this time and the medical team is closely monitoring the situation.”
