Can a Progressed Admission Become Not Admitted?
Its disappointing but true the Admission in Progress status on JAMBs CAPS portal can indeed change to Not Admitted While rare some candidates have experienced this switch after waiting several weeks and while I havent personally witnessed it the occurrence has been reported
There are several reasons why this might happen One common issue is an incomplete or incorrect upload of Olevel results to the JAMB portal Additionally if a candidates subject combination for the intended course is incorrect or there are other eligibility issues these can also lead to disqualification In fact some candidates may not even realize that they dont fully meet the requirements for their chosen course
Unfortunately JAMB and the institution involved wont provide a specific explanation if this status change occurs Candidates only see the status shift with Not Admitted replacing their previous Admission in Progress status
