Peter Kabugo
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has expressed its sadness over the death of Ugandan Premier League match referee Peter Kabugo.
Kabugo tragically died after collapsing during a soccer league match at Wankulukuku Stadium in Uganda.
CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe conveyed his condolences to the family of Peter Kabugo as well as the Uganda Football Federation (FUFA) and its President Moses Magogo.
On behalf of CAF, Motsepe shared his grief over the untimely passing of Kabugo.
“CAF President Dr. Motsepe extends his and CAF’s deepest condolences to the family of Peter Kabugo, the Uganda Football Federation (‘FUFA’) and its President, Moses Magogo, and the people of Uganda”, the statement said.
Motsepe offered his wishes of peace and comfort to all those affected by the loss of Kabugo, saying: “May the soul of Peter Kabugo rest in eternal peace.”
