The Confederation of African Football, CAF, has set Monday, November 18 for Nigeria’s final 2025 African Cup of Nations qualification match against Rwanda, scheduled for the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo, following the qualifying debacle last month’s failed attacks against Libya.
The clash will bring down the curtain on Group D’s race for places at the 35th African Cup of Nations finals to be held in Morocco in December 2025/January 2026.
CAF has also appointed Moroccan referees for the match against Rwanda, with Samir Guezzaz as the referee in the match which will begin at 5:00 p.m. Nigerian time. His compatriots Zakaria Brinsi, Abdessamad Abertoune and Kech Chaf Mustapha will act as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and fourth official respectively.
Prosper Harrison Addo of Ghana will be the commissioner, while Somali Ali Mohamed Ahmed will play the role of referee evaluator.
For the matchday five clash against Benin Republic at the Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny on Thursday, November 14, kicking off at 7:00 p.m. (CIV time) (8:00 p.m. Nigerian time), CAF has appointed Senegalese officials as supervisors, with Issa Sy as arbitrator.
Djibril Camara, Nouha Bangoura and El Hadji Amadou Sy will act as assistant referee 1, assistant referee 2 and fourth official respectively.
The Ivorian René Williams Seré will be the commissioner, while the Angolan Inácio Manuel Candido will be the evaluating referee.
