An insane situation: Ejuke recounts his horrible experience with the Super Eagles in Libya

Sevilla winger, Chidera Ejuke, has told of the horrible experience that he and other Super Eagles teammates lived in Libya.

Recall that Ejuke and his Super Eagles teammates were taken hostage at Al Abaq airport in Libya earlier this week.

The contingent was stranded at the airport for several hours without food or water.

The players and officials were subsequently allowed to travel back to Nigeria and refused to honor the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against the Mediterranean Knights.

“It was a crazy situation that we didn’t expect. “We couldn’t do anything, we were locked in the airport.” I told Dario of Seville.

“We were locked in for about 16 hours. Yes, it was a long time. Without food, we brought some water when we came from Nigeria and some snacks from the flight.

“We were a little scared, but we all stayed together so as not to go crazy”
